Oban Mountain Rescue Team is an entirely voluntary organisation. All mountain rescue teams are supported by the Scottish Government and receive an annual grant from them. But we still rely heavily on charitable donations and fundraising to equip and run our team.  Our annual running costs are in the region of £30,000 per year.

We are currently able to claim 25p for every £1 donated.

For us to claim Gift Aid you must be due to pay Income Tax / Capital Gains Tax equal to or greater than the tax reclaimable on your donation, but if you are a higher rate tax payer you can also claim tax relief by recording the donation on your Annual Self Assessment Tax Return.

The easiest way is for you to simply send your donation to the address below, providing your full name and address including postcode, confirming that you are a UK tax payer and noting that you would like your donation to be subject to Gift Aid.

Cheques should be made payable to Oban Mountain Rescue Team and sent with your declaration to:
